Our Review

Stella Harrison lives a quiet life running a resort in the mountains. She is still recovering from a horrible incident that occurred several years ago and only wants to live in peace. However, she has begun to have dreams about people around her dying. The last time she had these horrible dreams, they came true and she lost people she cared for.

She is afraid to trust anybody but knows if she does not do something, people will die. The handyman who works for her, Sam, always seems to know when she is troubled. Just being around him helps keep her calm. But she’s not certain she can share this secret with him. What if he doesn’t believe her or thinks she’s crazy?

Stella is at a crossroads. Can she make the leap of faith to tell Sam about her past and have him help her, or try and solve what might happen on her own?

MURDER AT SUNRISE LAKE is such an interesting book. Imagine being able to see something horrible before it happens. I asked myself, would I have the guts to try and stop a murder at great risk to myself, or would I tell someone, hoping they believed me? This suspense novel is a different type of story from Christine Feehan, and one I really, really enjoyed.
