Our Review

DEAD IN THE DOORWAY, A HOUSE-FLIPPER MYSTERY by Diane Kelly, is a cozy mystery with a hint of romance.

Whitney Whitaker and her cousin Buck are house flippers in Nashville, Tennessee. They have just bought their first house. Before the renovations can get underway, Whitney arrives at the house with her cat, Sawdust, to find the elderly neighbor, Nelda Dolan, dead in the doorway.

With a whole cast of elderly, quirky neighbors, who also happen to be suspects, and a handsome detective, Collin Flynn, Whitney has her hands full. Between demolition and renovation with Buck, she works as a confidential informant for Collin. And the more time she spends with the gorgeous detective, the more involved she becomes with him and the case.

A fun, light read with plenty of twists and turns that kept me turning the pages.
