Our Review

BLIND SPOT is book 4 in the Dr. Evelyn Talbot Series, and it does not disappoint. There is so much suspense and excitement, I could not put it down. What an adrenaline rush!

Dr. Evelyn Talbot runs Hanover House, a prison that houses criminal psychopaths in Alaska. As a teen, she miraculously escaped from a psychopath bent on harming her.  This traumatic time in her life resulted in her wanting to understand the mind of someone mentally unstable and how, if possible, someone who has psychopathic tendencies can be diagnosed before committing horrendous acts.

In this book, Evelyn has been kidnapped. She doesn’t know who has taken her, but she knows she needs to figure out how to escape. She is pregnant with her first child and is in fear for both their lives. Her fiance, Police Sergeant Benjamin Murphy (Amorak) is her only hope, and she prays he will find her before her time runs out.

Amorak is frantic looking for Evelyn. Nothing makes sense. Those who have threatened her in the past have been accounted for. There are very little clues to go by, but he will not give up. When one of her patients (a serial killer) claims he has information on who might have Evelyn, Amorak goes on a wild journey he never expected to take.

This was such a wild ride! Just when I thought I was figuring things out, Brenda Novak took me in another direction I didn’t expect. The author has such a wicked, wicked mind. BLIND SPOT is a great read, and now that fall is here, a perfect read for those cold, dark days where things go bump in the night.
