is the most romantic romance book you've ever read?
I love all of Alice Hoffman’s books: "Turtle Moon," "Practical Magic," "Here on Earth,", etc. They aren’t traditional romances, but they combine romance and magic beautifully.

is the most romantic present a lover could give you?
A red-flowering currant or other Washington native plant; I’m a native plant steward, and I think there’s nothing more romantic than someone knowing what you really care about.

is the most romantic present you have ever given a lover?
A satin smoking jacket.
What
is your idea of the most romantic date?
Building stilts and racing each other all around the park. My daughter had a blind date who actually proposed and executed this idea from buying the materials at a hardware store to the final lap through the gardens. I thought it was the just the coolest date ever.
Tell
us the most romantic thing that has happened to you?
When I first met my husband, he had to go out of town shortly after our first few dates. He gave me a mountain of gifts, including a romance novel, so I wouldn’t forget him while he was gone
What's
your idea of the most romantic meal?
A meal prepared by my lover who actually knows all of my favorite foods. (And he cleans up afterwards.)

you could go anywhere, where would be your choice for the most
romantic vacation?
Tahiti, you don’t want to be wearing too many clothes for romance!
