Q: To start, will you please tell us a little bit about your current projects?

I'm working on Books 3 ~ 5 of my Iroquois Series. The Iroquois Indians were known as the "League of Five Nations." The league was formed before European contact and the original five nations were made up of the Cayuga, Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga and Seneca tribes. Wind Warrior is Book #1. Captive Heart is Book #2 completed and based on the Oneida. To Steal A Warrior's Heart is Book #3 based on the Mohawk.

I also have two romantic suspense thrillers Pawn for Malice and The Keeper's Watch that are three-quarters finished.

Q:What is the easiest part of the writing process for you?

Hearing that voice in my head that tells me where to take the story. So far (knock on wood) I've never had a difficult time with the creative process. What is the hardest part, the one task you wish you could wave a magic wand and it would be done for you? I'd love to get my hands on a voice activated program that types while I dictate, edits my misspells, grammar and sentence structure and makes it immaculate right through completion. Yep! Where can I find meself one of dem babies?

Q: At what point do you decide on the names of your characters?

Right from the get-go. That's the only thing I plan out from the beginning. What their names will be, their personality traits, body type and coloring. I've never made a change once my mind is made up and I always research names genuine to that time period.

Q: Is there any one thing you wish you could change about the way you write but know you never will?

No not at all. I like the voice of my writing and finding it that those who have read it so far really love my style of writing.

Q: Who most influenced your writing style?

It was blind choice when I held a Cassie Edwards novel in my hand the very first time. I read every book in her Savage Series and was convinced I could do the same.

Q: Surprise! Surprise! The Trip Genie is going to whisk you away to wherever you want to go! Where are you going and how many suitcases are you taking?

Two suitcases ~ I plan to stay a while ~ a Caribbean isle where the beaches are virgin, the water is emerald, the drinks decorated with pastel-colored umbrellas are abundant, the men are buff, gorgeous and find me alluring and I've got the latest hi-tech laptop at my disposal to finish my series.

Q: What is your favorite way to unwind after a long and busy day?

Wine, my friend ... any color ... any label.

Q: Oh, oh. You just gotta have it. Doesn't matter how bad it is for you, or that you promised yourself you wouldn't indulge again. What fast food drive-through is going to tempt you beyond endurance?

It's a neck-to-neck with Sushi & Chinese ... but I haven't found a drive-through worth pulling up to yet.

Q: What are the traits that make up a “real life” hero?

Well I'm still looking for my "real life" hero and holding out until I can find one who comes close to being spontaneous, financially secure, affectionate, witty, tender, romantic, compassionate, passionate, charming and REALLY REALLY knows how to kiss a woman.

Q: What is the best way to spend a quiet evening at home?

Low fire burning, chilled wine, soft rock playing in the background and Mr. Real Life by my side.

Q: How do you describe Cynthia Roberts? Extremely giving to the point where I get hurt sometimes (have to work a bit on that one), witty, die-hard romantic, extremely affectionate, an advocate for the less fortunate and very spunky. How do Cynthia Roberts’s family and friends describe her?

A creative mind with a very generous heart.

MORE FUN...??

Q: Gotta ask: did you make any New Year’s Resolutions this year? Have you broken any yet? Ever keep any that you made in previous years?

The past ten years have been extremely difficult for me. The one true promise I never let go of was not to give up on myself or life or give in to failure. So many times I wanted to ... so many times I willed myself through just another day.

Q: Name the best appliance ever invented, the one you will defend its worth to one and all?

Has got to be the microwave. Cheap meals, quick preparation ... makes awesome popcorn.

Q: What is your favorite expression? What is the one expression you wish you could stop saying?

I have two actually which will probably be engraved on my stone when I'm pushing up daisies ... "It is what it is and I coulda, shoulda, woulda."

Q: Do you prefer sunsets or sunrises?

Sunrise ... brings the promise of a better tomorrow.

Q: And lastly, no interview of a writer would be complete without this question: what is your favorite comfort food?

Popcorn ... yummmmie !!!!
