Hello everyone. I am so thrilled to be
a part of Romance Junkies and first want to extend a very
gracious and heartfelt thank you to Cat for all of her
help. Like all of you, I lived and breathed reading romances
it filled many long and lonely evenings when I
was raising my children Jason and Alyssa (now 31 and 29)
and much later on when my marriage came to an unexpected
end.
I'm a true believer that when tragedy
strikes and you're standing on the edge of that precipice
and all you see is darkness looking back at you, faith
lies in knowing one of two things will happen. You can
either let fear consume you, roll up into a ball and block
out the world or, you can take a leap of faith and learn
how to soar like an eagle.
Wind Warrior first came to life 12 years
ago when I was meeting my greatest challenge to simply
survive head on. I received so many rejections throughout
that time frame I could have wallpapered a small room
in my house. I nearly gave up on my dream. That is, until
I realized it just wasn't my time. I needed to live through
and get beyond the pain in my own life before I could
transform that experience into the kind of passion and
emotion I wanted my readers to feel personally through
my writing.
Wind Warrior is book one of five of my
Iroquois Series and will officially be released by Tate
Publishing June 15th. It is, however, available now for
purchase through Tate's website. I hope readers find it
as enthralling to read as it was for me to research and
bring to life. Book #2 Captive Heart is expected to be
released the end of this year.
Now that the writer in me has been unleashed
look out world! If I can leave my beautiful five
grandchildren any legacy, it will be the strength, conviction
and passion put into every story I bring to life. Please
stay tuned for future projects which will include a series
introducing contemporary shape shifters and two mainstream
romance thrillers entitled Pawn For Malice and The Keeper's
Watch.

4.5 from Romance Junkies "Wind Warrior is an excellent
descriptive tale that takes the readers through many of the
difficulties the pioneers had to endure, as well as an intimate
look into the tribal daily life of the Seneca Iroquois Indians.
If you love vivid descriptions about the lives of the Native
American Indians and their attuned sense of peace with the natural
environment, this novel is for you. I have become a lifelong
fan of Cynthia Roberts and I am eagerly looking forward to her
next installment in this Iroquois series."--Reviewer: Lydia

"Leslie
Michaels is a visionary, and only those close to her know
of her special gift and the visions that come when her
mind and body surrender to sleep. Fate has a way of righting
many wrongs, and for Leslie it is a destiny that changes
her life dramatically. But not before she is forced to
flee into the wilderness to escape a murderous trapper
bent on claiming her for his very own. Faith and a strong
will to survive are her only companions, until she encounters
Winnokin, the handsome Seneca war chief who first came
to her in her dreams. Not only does he prove to be her
rescuer and protector, he teaches her that tragedy can
breed happiness and the passion to live and love deeply
once again.
Wind Warrior plunges readers into the
intimate depths of a relationship that unfolds like a
live drama before their eyes while painting an insightful
and intriguing portrait of Native Indian life in the 1800s.
It is a story of longing, of a wanton need to survive
all odds, and a love so strong it conquers human evil.
Wind Warrior expresses with cunning words the simple,
raw human emotions that hold readers spellbound and captivate
their hearts."

"All I can say is WOW!! I purchased this book directly
from the publisher, and I have to say that I am so glad that
I did. I have a great love for historical romance books and
a great love for the Native Americans. I have worked with the
Natives, and know them to be wonderful loving giving people
and to read Cynthias Wind Warrior and to have her write
such honest and factual truth about how the Natives live and
how they treat one another was wonderful. I love Leslie so much
as I felt that I became part of her. The feelings and emotions
and such wonderful messages the author has given us. A very
spiritual and giving book. I look forward to reading all the
books in this series. Thank you Cynthia!!!" ***** Linda

"Wind Warrior is a fantastic Indian Romance. Leslie is
a compelling character that deserves a happy ending, after so
much tragedy in her life. Winnokin shows the true Indian spirit
and loves his white woman completely. Learning about Indian
life is compelling and page-turning, and the interaction between
Leslie and Winnokin is passionate and sizzling hot. Ms. Roberts
is a wonderful storyteller and I look forward to more of her
work."--Wendy Hines, The Minding Spot writes

Why
Woman Adore Reading Romance
|
|
Romances
were strictly written as prose starting as early as the
13th century. But I think it's pretty safe to say true
romance began after Eve ate the apple in the Garden of
Eden and ticked off Adam. He had to do some real "wooing"
back then to populate the world and according to scholars
he lived to be 930 years old. There must have been a whole
lot of romancing going on back then **wink ** wink.
It
has become such an inherent part of our society that as
little girls we fantasize about a Cinderella world, being
carried off by Prince Charming and living happily ever
after with our true love. Our daddy's revere us as their
little princess at birth, treat us with tenderness, make
us feel special and promise to always protect us. Most
every woman wants a man in their life like their daddy
with a little bit of bad boy mixed in.
It's
what makes our heart go pitter-pat, our step lighter,
our smile brighter, our day seem easier to cope with.
If it's lacking in our lives, we make up for it escaping
into a fictional world where the hero is all man and the
woman is US. It's not the real world that's true and as
women we are nurturing, strong, independent, problem solvers,
a corporate head or multi-tasking managers of households.
We
escape into genres filled with romance because while in
that world we forget that the men in our lives are wired
differently, come from Mars and forget we still need to
be romanced even if the chase is over.

Captive Heart
Captive Heart ~ The Iroquois Series - Book
Two
Nuchzetse is a strong-minded Seneca maiden who
has taunted fate for far too long and finds herself on the receiving
end to be banished from her tribe.
Despite her punishment, she has no intentions
of playing out the role of ward to an elderly shaman she is
forced to live with and serve. That is, until her plans are
thwarted by her first encounter with the striking Oneida Bear
Clan leader, Lone Star. Even though his open contempt and dislike
of her proves unsettling, there is an underlying attraction
between them that forces her to wrestle with either winning
his favor or, escaping from the sentence which holds her free
spirit captive.
The very fate she has mocked her entire adult
life sends her on a dangerous journey that tests the very essence
of who she is and the woman she secretly wishes to become. Captive
Heart, is a soulful story of overcoming great odds, spiritual
rebirth, and a love that transcends evil in its greatest form.

Louise Hay - You Can Heal Your Life ~ I decided to reread
this because of what I'm going through right now and kind
of help me reaffirm a positive thought process and believing
in myself.
Jude Deveraux ~ A Knight in Shining Armor ~ an absolutely
phenomenal book which is autographed by Jude.
Mitch Albom ~ The Five People You Meet In Heaven.
Esther and Jerry Hicks ~ The Law of Attraction ~ Learning
about the laws that govern this universe and how to make
them work to your advantage. (Gotta read that one again
cause I must have missed a chapter somewhere.
PLUS, there is always 2-3 romances ready to be devoured.
Right now I'm reading Nora Roberts Chesapeake Bay Saga.

Q:
What are the traits that make up a real life
hero?
Well
I'm still looking for my "real life" hero
and holding out until I can find one who comes close
to being spontaneous, financially secure, affectionate,
witty, tender, romantic, compassionate, passionate,
charming and REALLY REALLY knows how to kiss a woman

Spring
is exhilarating and life changing for me. It's the promise
of hope, a sense of newness of fresh beginnings and
wonderful possibilities. The smell of lavender, cherry
blossoms and lilacs filling the air, the incessant chirp
of young fledglings awaiting their next meal, the song
and gander of various birds perched upon the branches
of trees budding with new leaves, the clean scent of
freshly cut grass, tiny new calves, lambs and foals
on wobbly legs in open pastures, the giddy laughter
of children let loose to play outdoors, the touch of
a soft breeze through my hair and the caress of the
sun rays upon my face. Nature coming alive is truly
a beautiful sight to behold.
