Two days ago, Jo Davids was a waitress by night and a college kid by day, with the unnerving problem of objects floating around her.
One Day ago, Jo’s sexy boss, Cormac, noticed her for all the wrong reasons when she witnessed a man transform into a monster in the basement of his casino.
Today, Cormac ordered her shot.
If he’s real lucky, she won’t die. Because if she does, all hope is lost.

Keepers and Killers
The story of Jo and Cormac continues on in this fast paced drama.
It’s very hard to work with someone who tried to murder me. But when the mysterious senator reappears on the scene, I’m desperate enough to take whatever help I can get, even if it is from Cormac. Dealing with him is nothing compared to losing a few hundred lives and that’s the best case scenario. Worst case? I lose them all.

I thought I could be a hero. That was before I helped destroy the world. Now, as I stand among the rubble of what used to be, I wonder how we’re ever going to pick up the pieces.
Everyday is a struggle, and people are getting desperate. Creatures that never should have existed are picking away at the dwindling numbers of the human race. And the knowledge that could be our salvation lies with the senator who reigns supreme on the other half of the globe.
please tell us a little bit about your current projects.
Right now, I’m working on finishing The Alchemy Series. It’s an urban fantasy, with a romantic subplot and hints of scifi.
When was the moment that you knew you had to be a writer?
I don’t think there was one ah ha moment. I’ve always been an avid reader, and like most readers, toyed with the idea of writing a novel. What kicked me into gear? I was getting more and more particular about what I felt like reading. I had scenes playing out in my head and I wanted to read that story, but it didn’t exist. Once I really dug in and started writing, I realized writing gave me the same outlet I got from reading.
Who gave you the one piece of writing advice that sticks with you to this day?
It wasn’t given to me, and I’m not sure if it qualifies as advice, but this quote by Hemmingway has always resonated deeply with me. “There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed.
Describe the “perfect” hero. What about the “perfect” hero for you?
I like dark haired Alpha males, but they can’t cross certain lines. I think for me, it has more to do with the pairing. The stronger the heroine, the more aggressive nature I can tolerate from the hero. As long as there is that balance of power, I’m happy.
What are some of your favorite pastimes? Do you have any hobbies or collections?
I have too many hobbies! Currently, I’m sculpting a dragon for www.ismellsheeps.com New Years giveaway. I also needlefelt, paint, dabble in stained glass, etc. The list is too long to continue without boring everyone.
What has been your biggest adventure to date?
Probably taking the plunge and putting my writing out there. It’s very daunting in a way, to dump so much of your emotions into a book and then hand it to the world to judge.
If your fairy godmother waved her wand and whisked you away to the location of your choice, which place would you choose, and why?
I’m dying to see The Fairy Pools in Scotland. It looks so magical, and I’ve been obsessed with Scottish men since my first Highlander romance novel.
When it comes to food, are you the adventurous type who will try anything once, or do you prefer to stick to tried and true foods and recipes?
I’ll try anything. Sometimes, I just get bored and wish there was a whole new food group discovered.
What is the one modern convenience that you cannot do without? What is this romance writer’s idea of the “ideal romantic evening”?
I live in NJ and lost power for ten days after Hurricane Sandy. I’ve learned from that experience that I’m not very good at struggling. The idea of giving up any of the modern conveniences now sends me into a panic.
How do you describe yourself? How would your family and friends describe you?
I’m outgoing and friendly but prefer to do my own thing. I can’t march to anyone else’s drum. I’m also stubborn, opinionated and too honest. And I need to learn to keep some of my whacky theories to myself. It just makes people look at you strangely.
What’s your favorite comfort food?
My favorite comfort food has to be cake batter ice cream with cookie dough.
What is your favorite season? What do you love about it?
I’m not sure I have a favorite. I get excited for each one. I love the flowers in the spring. The colors and smell of fall are brilliant. In the winter, you get big snowstorms where everything gets so quiet and peaceful. Summer makes me think of happy things, like kids running around and the sound of an ice cream truck approaching.
What is this romance writer’s idea of the “ideal romantic evening”?
I find the little snippets in life to be my ideal romance, like walks in the park, watching a movie on a snowy night, or laying on a blanket under the stars.
