When forgotten and forbidden passions are awakened, Ariadne is forced to make a choice—fall in line and continue to be overrun and pushed down by the sisterhood, or follow her heart and put everyone’s lives in danger.

A Nymph. A woman with the ability to seduce at will, shift to protect, but cursed with the fate to have the man she falls in love with die a tragic death. As one of the ill-fated nymphs, Aura Montgarten has spent her lifetime drifting from one place to another hiding from love. Until she meets Dane.
When a body washes up on the shore of a rural Montana lake, police officer Dane Burke is faced with the task of finding the killer—even if it means he will be forced to put his life and heart at risk by working with a drifter. As the truth of Aura’s Mustang-shifting Nymph ways are revealed, Dane learns exactly the amount of danger he and Aura are in, but can’t force himself to leave a case unsolved when the truth is right outside of his grasp.
When the killer decides he needs to take another victim—Dane—Aura must choose between their forbidden love and her immortal life… Can there be life without love, or is death her only choice?
I am so glad you could join us here at RomanceJunkies. To start, will you please tell us a little bit about your current projects?
Thank you for hosting me! I’m so excited about Montana Mustangs. This was such a fun book to write and my fans (as well as my new fans) seem to love it—which always pleases me as the author. J
About The Nymph Series…. The Nymph Series is based on one fact: Nymphs are cursed. When they fall in love with a human man, the man is fated to die.
Who doesn’t love the allure of forbidden love?!
In each of the books within the Nymph Series, a different nymph is faced with their own set of circumstances and their own experience with love. I promise they will all surprise you. Just when you think you have the mystery figured out there will be a little more to keep you guessing (Montana Mustangs).
Each of the books can stand-alone, but I would recommend reading them in order as they build on each other and some of the books to come will focus on characters that have already appeared within the series.
Montana Mustangs (off the cuff) is about Aura Montgarten and her sister Natalie. When her sister comes to Montana and disappears, Aura tries to come to her rescue. Death, mystery, suspense, and one heck of a love story follows. J
With this book I tried to incorporate all of my favorite book genres, suspense, mystery, paranormal, and romance. There is a little in this book for everyone (plus, it’s based in my favorite/home state!!!)
When was the moment that you knew you had to be a writer?
I started writing at a very young age. I actually received a scholarship to the University of Montana for my writing.
In college, I studied archeology after I was told I shouldn’t be a writer (LOL). In one of my final classes, the professor asked me to write a fifteen page paper on my findings from an archeological dig I went on in British Columbia. Well, the paper went from fifteen pages to forty-five in which I went on to theorize how the salmon bones we had found had been distributed around the site. I included theories from sociology and human behavior and why certain bones were found by the door of the pit-houses, while others were found deeper in the homes.
I knew then I had a writing problem.
Every writer dreams of getting “the call”. What were you doing when yours came? Who got to hear the good news first?
I have had a few “calls” but most were in fact “emails”. My first call (email) was to let me know I had won a short story contest. I was such a nerd… I danced around the house (my dancing is more of hip jerk motion with a skip). My husband had thought I lost my mind.
Who gave you the one piece of writing advice that sticks with you to this day?
B.J. Daniels was speaking at a conference I went to. She had a great piece of advice (for life and writing) (Paraphrased). ‘There will always be someone who will do better than you. Don’t compete. Just write the best you can and make yourself happy.’
I can’t tell you how much this relieved the stress that comes with writing. I know each book I put out is the best I could do at that point in my writing adventure. Each book gets better, but each book makes me proud. And I don’t compete with other authors.
Describe the “perfect” hero. What about the “perfect” hero for you?
In my books my perfect hero is tall, dark, handsome, and has a wound that always makes the heroine want to help—yeah, I make the women save the men (at least emotionally).
In real life, my perfect hero is my hubby. He’s smart, ambitious, self-motivated, tall, dark, and handsome. Once in a while, he let’s me save him.
What are some of your favorite pastimes? Do you have any hobbies or collections?
I collect books and rocks. LOL
I’m a nerd.
My hubby has it easy when shopping for me. He always gets me something to do with writing, rocks (including the shiny kind), or a rock. This anniversary he bought me a beautiful druzy agate and celestite. My hubby gets my nerdiness.
What has been your biggest adventure to date?
I’ve worked on archeological digs. Those were pretty neat.
But last summer I drove from Montana to Anaheim, California with two small children. Let your imagination run wild. Yeah, our drive was a bit like that. J
If your fairy godmother waved her wand and whisked you away to the location of your choice, which place would you choose, and why?
When it comes to food, are you the adventurous type who will try anything once, or do you prefer to stick to tried and true foods and recipes?
What is your favorite season? What do you love about it?
I love summer. There’s nothing better than sitting out in the sun and writing. J
What is the one modern convenience that you cannot do without?
Wi-Fi. I used to not be this person, but now thanks to my writing (and I’m a Manager for Books To Go Now Publishing) I can’t live without it!
What is this romance writer’s idea of the “ideal romantic evening”?
I love champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries, a warm bath, rose petals, and a man who put it all together without my asking! LOL
