I am so glad you could join us here at RomanceJunkies. To start, will you please tell us a little bit about your current projects?

Thank you for having me! I’d love to. My current release (available online now), Tempting the Billionaire, is about an all-business billionaire who finds there’s more to life than a bottom line when he hires his sweet, sexy personal assistant.

The follow-up, Hard to Handle, is about the secondary characters in Tempting, Aiden and Sadie. They get their shot at happily ever after (and boy, do they deserve it!)

When was the moment that you knew you had to be a writer?

The moment Swine Flu closed Mexico.

Long story short, in my direct sales career, I earned an all-expenses paid vacation to Cancun. And then…couldn’t go because of Swine Flu. The company compensated me, and I took my own vacation. At home. I spent the next five days reading the entire Twilight series. After I finished, I decided that from now on, I was going to do what I loved for a living. No more settling for less in a career. I was going to write!

Every writer dreams of getting “the call”. What were you doing when yours came? Who got to hear the good news first?

I remember the moment my agent called back with the offer we would accept from my publisher Grand Central/Forever. I tried so hard not to burst into tears and managed to hold it together until I called my husband at work. The first words out of my mouth were, “I’m okay,” because I was sobbing at that point. After I told him, I was crying and laughing, and he was woo-hooing. It was an amazing moment.

What is this romance writer’s idea of the “ideal romantic evening”?

I’m easy. Three ingredients make any night perfect, for me. 1) My husband 2) Take out from our favorite Thai restaurant and 3) A really good IPA (beer)

How do you describe yourself? How would your family and friends describe you?

In my bio, I describe myself thusly: Writer, artist, dreamer. Fun-loving, fast-talking wife, den mother to two dogs.

My family would say something like, “She came out talking and never shut up.” And my friends would probably tell you I’m always smiling or cracking a joke.

And lastly, no interview of a writer would be complete without this question: what is your favorite comfort food?

I’m going to give you a very clichéd author answer: coffee! My morning cup while I’m reading or checking the internet is like an extension of my very being.

What project are you working on next?

I’m finishing up HARD TO HANDLE (book #2) and hoping to continue the Love in the Balance series with a third and even a fourth book. I’ve also been working on a new series that starts with a story about a bad boy returning home to the broken-hearted woman he left behind…there’s also a mansion. And a really great bath tub. That’s all I’m gonna say…
