Chocolate & Hot Guys by Author Stephanie Rowe
Raise your hand if you have ever done any of the following:
1) Snacked on frosting directly out of the can.
2) Eaten chocolate and sighed with delight.
3) Gotten in a food fight. With chocolate. And a hot guy. And licked it all off… (Oh, whoops. I got to fantasizing there. I just meant to write get in a food fight).
4) Gazed longingly out the window, dreaming of the life you don’t have…or the job you wished you had…
5) Thought that you couldn’t do it by yourself for one more minute, wishing that some magical prince would suddenly walk into your life, sweep you off your feet and make all your dreams come true.
6) Thought you were doing just fine all on your own…
Real life can be sort of mundane. Jobs that are only moderately inspirational (at best), bills to be paid, kids that leave a swath of destruction behind them, dogs that need attention when you don’t have the energy to give it to them, hair that won’t behave, jeans that are just a little too tight, laundry that always needs to be folded (does it procreate on its own or what?)… Where’s the glamour? Where’s the sparkle? Is there such a thing in real life? Can magic really occur in a world that isn’t replete with vampires, werewolves and fairies? The answer, my friends, is… it damn well better be able to!
I believe in magic. I believe that we should be able to giggle in the morning. I believe that we should have those sigh-worthy moments where we just can’t believe the amazing things that just happened to us.
And most importantly, I believe we all deserve to have our own Prince Charming, who will sweep into our lives and make our hearts soar. Even us ordinary gals who maybe don’t look so perfect in a bathing suit or who don’t get a chance do our hair before running errands… we deserve our fairytale…or at least live it vicariously though fictional women who are as ordinary as you and me… and yet somehow transcend that in ways that leave us breathless, sweaty and oh-so-heartmeltingly-satisfied.
Most of the books I write are paranormal romances, because I love a good ol’ immortal warrior who has been tormented for a few centuries. There’s nothing like the intensity of passion and emotion that comes to life between two people when their souls are at stake and they have a hundred years of intense emotions building up inside them, desperate to be released.
When I wrote my new Ever After contemporary series, I wanted
both: I wanted that intense passion, that emotions that tears apart your soul, and I wanted it to happen to everyday women like you and me, who are struggling with the same things we’re struggling with: a single mom, the scars of divorce, the daily grind that somehow seems to obscure the chance for magic, for passion that ignites the soul, and for a man so intense, so passionate, so committed that the entire world shakes from his kiss.
Ever After is about the fairytale in a life where magic comes from the passion and fire of the soul. Dip your toe in. Indulge your fantasies. Let the magic begin.
What do you dream about? What is your fairytale fantasy? And does it involve a hot guy, chocolate and silk? Let’s talk, girls. Everyone who comments will get entered to win your choice of any book in my Order of the Blade series or my Ever After series!

Hi Stephanie. Great post. I love your books. I dream about being rich and getting to travel to all the places I have wanted to see and not have to work a regular job any more. I know it’s a fantasy but a girl can dream.

think I’ve done all but item #3 at some time, though that sounds like fun so think I’ll “dream” about it for a while
I dream about not having to worry about so many different things — house, work, family, friends, money, etc….. — and being able to just relax & enjoy the sunshine (not that there’s much of that right now).

Wow sounds like a great read. Look forward to reading it. You’re a new to me author and I’ll have to look for this since it’s a contemporary romance.
Mostly I’d go with #6 but I have done 1, 2, 4 and 5. Not a # 3 type gal – lol!
Thanks for sharing.

I’ll raise my hand to almost all of them.
Fantasies and dreams are what get us through those tough times I think.
One of mine is to be stranded with a kilted Highlander from the past in the beautiful seclusion of an old Caste. The other would be to stay there. lol
Great sounding reads Stephanie. Will surely be reading them.
