In The Vendetta, vengeance intersects the international world of fine art when ski town barista Lisa Schumacher serves up espresso—with a dollop of passion—for Italian businessman Nick Carnavale. Lured to Rome by family ties, Lisa must race to find a mysterious missing painting in time to convince Nick that love, and life, is worth more than his revenge.

After receiving a degree in International Relations from USC, Kecia entered the U.S. Navy—a true opportunity for adventure—and learned to write and edit the vast amounts of paperwork required to keep that organization functioning like a well-oiled machine. Talk about deadlines!
She left the service several years ago to “settle down” with her own personal hero. They traveled the world together and lived in Italy and South Korea, but they returned home often enough to figure out that love really does make the world go ‘round. It was while touring in Italy, in fact, that Kecia began to write down the stories that had been in her head for years.
Now, when she’s not spending ridiculous amounts of time at the computer dreaming up interesting characters and spicy conflicts for her fiction writing, she loves to ride her bike really fast and shop for shoes with her two daughters—heroines (and world travelers) in the making. She has had three short stories published under another pseudonym, and her first contemporary romance with e-publisher Etopia Press, The Vendetta, is available September 16th. You can find out more about Kecia and her writing at her author blog/website: www.KeciaAdams.com
In her “day job” as a copyeditor, Kecia is the co-owner of EDITS [that] ROCK, an editorial partnership that provides editing, writing, and publishing assistance for beginning writers, published authors, and writers pursuing self-publishing. Kecia contributes regularly to the EDITS [that] ROCK blog at http://www.editsthatrock.com/blogETR/

Did you always want to be an author? What do you think you would be doing now if that hadn’t worked out?

Hi Kathleen! Sorry I’m late to reply! Got my wires crossed on dates. Anyway thanks for visiting the blog. So, my husband…we were introduced by friends when we were both stationed in Northern Washington State. Super Bowl Sunday as a matter of fact! We’ve been together now for *ahem* 20 years now. Thinking back, that was not a foregone conclusion, though, because the Navy had other plans (stationing us on opposite sides of the country) and because the ratio of women to men was skewed in my favor–very skewed–like 15-20 men for every woman. You could say it was my personal Bachelorette show.
The place I would most like to visit is Provence. I’ve been to Paris many times but I haven’t traveled in France very much. Close second would be Dubai…if I had a ton of money, that is. They know how to do luxury in Dubai.

Hey Carol M! Good to see you at the Romance Junkies Blog. Hmm… if the writing thing hadn’t worked out for me I would be holed up in a library somewhere, telling teenagers to “shhh!” Or… One of my best friends is a museum tour guide. I could see myself doing that job. I love a good tour when the guide mixes just the right amount of historical information and interesting anecdote.
But I have always wanted to be a writer. When I was young, about 7 or 8, my mom was friends with SciFi writer Roger Zelazny. They had a fabulous house and I remember going down to his basement office. Floor to ceiling bookshelves! It was amazing… I went home and made up my first story then & there.
