Dear reader…

If you are expecting a traditional medieval tale or charming prince, you will not find it here. I am not like other men for I have a voracious appetite and will appease it no matter the cost. Do you doubt my confession? Then I invite you to step into my kingdom.

Women were created for pleasure, tis my obligation to see them fulfilled. When I whisper, they come to me. All save one…Lady Ruby. I can see the desire in her eyes even though her pure and noble heart fights against it. She may be an outlaw, but a rare gem such as she has never been found in Meradin. She is my challenge, my penance, and my weakness. Nothing short of Almighty God Himself can keep her from me. I shall possess her. Ruby is mine.

Dear reader, will you begrudge me your company when you learn of my past and how wicked I can truly be? Or will you come to me willingly, surrender yourself to my charms, and beg for more? Surely my tale of intrigue, murder, and treason will be enough to tempt you to sin with me if only for a short while. Come with me, and I will lay myself bare.

Author Interview:

Please tell us a little bit about your current projects?

Well, aside from the freshly published, Prince of Whispers, my current project is called Topping Red. The conflict for this tale starts in my short story, A Cat Without a Grin. While the two main characters in that short get their happy ending, the secondary characters have some unfinished business. Topper and Red have been asking for me to complete their novella next. Then after that, I can begin working on Crispin’s second novel.

When was the moment that you knew you had to be a writer?

The moment I realized I had to be a writer had to be when I started writing fan fiction. I began filling in the stories I watched on TV with my own ideas. Giving life to ‘ships’ (relationships) I knew would never happen on the show or in the movie. I wrote a few and realized that there were stories inside of me begging to be told. So I started writing my own fiction and haven’t looked back.

Who gave you the one piece of writing advice that sticks with you to this day?

We had a guest speaker in college, I can’t remember his name now, but he was an author and his words stuck with me. “Write every day.”

While I don’t do that, I’m reminded of it constantly. One page a day will equal 365 pages at the end of the year. That’s a novel. It gives you a good starting point.

Describe the “perfect” hero. What about the “perfect” hero for you?

The perfect hero for me is an imperfect one. This is probably why I prefer to write anti-heroes and villains. No one is perfect, and I like seeing the flaws in each character and how it pushes them to grow as the story moves forward.

If you mean looks, then my perfect hero is tall, dark, handsome, rugged, and mysterious with a hint of bad boy independence. I like the non-conformists. I like my men a bit wild. *wink*

What are some of your favorite pastimes? Do you have any hobbies or collections?

I love dancing. In my free time, I play my Wii Just Dance games or go to belly dancing class. It’s a great stress reliever and exercise routine.

I also love to play otome games, read manga, and watch anime.

What has been your biggest adventure to date?

I haven’t really had any grand adventures yet. I guess publishing my first novel is my biggest yet. Learning the process and working out the details/strategy has been both stressful and rewarding. I’m looking forward to the next adventure in publishing.

If your fairy godmother waved her wand and whisked you away to the location of your choice, which place would you choose, and why?

Japan. I love the culture and the history. I would love to see all the prefectures of Japan, just wander around the country for a while absorbing all the history and beauty.

When it comes to food, are you the adventurous type who will try anything once, or do you prefer to stick to tried and true foods and recipes?

I am an adventurous eater. We try anything in this house. I have a bit of an aversion to odd textures, but I’ll try new flavors and dishes. You never know what new delights you might uncover.

What is the one modern convenience that you cannot do without?

Feminine products and the internet. Two things I can’t live without. I think they’re pretty self-explanatory. *giggles*

What is this romance writer’s idea of the “ideal romantic evening”?

A night in with my hubby…just the two of us, snuggled beneath a blanket as we binge watch Netflix shows and eat snacks.

How do you describe yourself? How would your family and friends describe you?

I would describe myself as a sassy bitch. My family would describe me as headstrong. My friends would call me a tease, but in the best possible way.

What is your favorite comfort food?

Pizza. Isn’t that everyone’s favorite comfort food? Second is chocolate.

What is your favorite season? What do you love about it?

I love Autumn. The colors changing on the trees, the cooling temperatures. I love bonfires and hot apple cider. The smell of summer burning off as winter creeps closer. Perfect for bulky sweaters and long adventures in the woods.

Any place we can find you in person or on the net this month or next?

Probably not. I’ll be doing lots of traveling this summer as I visit family and hopefully get some writing done. One day I hope to meet all my fabulous readers in person!

Biography:

Jen Bradlee can get away with murder, metaphorically speaking of course. She is a sensual woman who enjoys people watching, belly dancing, and taking walks in the rain. Give her a man who isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty and plays hard. The ones with rough edges and a little scruff are the best. She finds cathartic release when she pours all her fantasies and desires into her writing. Comes with a warning label. “Too hot to handle.”
