What
are you plans for the halloween? If I'm honest, I will
probably be sleeping - I have a book deadline, three manuscripts
to critique, three workshops/lubrary events to complete by
October 31st. So when they're done I'm going to crash.
Do
you have a favorite Halloween party trick or recipe you would
like to share?
My family are Irish and in Ireland, Halloween was once a day
of abstinence when no meat was eaten. Dishes based on potatoes
were eaten, such as colcannon (mash with milk or cream, kale,
and leeks or spring onions), champ (mash with milk and onions
or chives) and boxty pancakes - fried potato cakes that are
sometimes served savoury, sometimes sprinkled with sugar.
Do
you have a photo of you in costume you would like to share?
Sorry - no - don't have any costume pics except one when
I was ten and I'm not sure where that is!
Any
favorite treat you like to give out? I'm just happy if
the basket of goodies I keep for kids to grab a handful from
all gets used up - otherwise I would have to force myself
to eat what's left!
Do
you have any other titles besides the one you are promoting
that would be a good Halloween read?
I olove good ghost stories - preferably real ones and my husband
has collected up a selection from different parts of the country
so I think I'll be dipping into Hauntings In Lincolnshire,
Hautings in Dublin, Hauntings in Yorkshire by Stephen Wade
and scaring myself silly.
