Though, at RT, I did have reason to celebrate. I won the RT Reviewers’ Choice Award for Best Erotic Romance for my historical novel, Maiden and the Monster. That’s me making my acceptance speech.

While at RT, I also got to have my own private booksigning set up by Virgin Books where we gave away 3 boxes of an ARC of my Fall 2007 release, Along for the Ride. It lasted for over an hour and I was almost late to the award ceremony. Good think I had wonderful friends who held a place for me at the banquet. |

Now that we’re back home, life is anything but settled down. I often joke that I’m an “Animal Lover by Force” because of all the pets my family seems to bring home. Over the years we’ve had a rescued duck, prairie dogs, African Grey Parrot, turtle, hamsters. Now we’re down to four dogs, two cats—Rocky and Lily—and a bunny. |

Annabelle
is precocious, always into trouble. Winston’s my baby who
gets anxious if he can’t see me. I’ve never met a
lazier dog. Princess Fiona lives up to her title, ruling the
household. But, hey, someone around here needs to be in charge. |
