Beverly Rae stopped by RJ after hours

Hi, ya'll. Woo-hoo, it's the cocktail hour! I enjoy sipping my favorite drinkie-poo with friends, so hang on while I settle into a comfy chair. Whew. I've worked my fanny off today and I need this drink. I don't drink very often, but when I do, the drinks I like are not the normal cocktails my friends order. No margaritas or martinis for this gal. The only drinks I like are Long Beach Iced Teas and Dom Perignon champagne. Sit back, relax and I'll start a tab.

Now that we've got our drinks, let's dish. But let's not talk about those celebrities in Hollywood. After all, I'd rather write fantasy than watch it. Tell me what's going on in your world. If you tell me, I'll tell you. Want me to go first? You got it.

My days are spent in my home office sitting in front of my computer writing contemporary paranormal romances. I've loved the supernatural, the abnormal, the different and the weird (my mom's word) for as long as I can remember. After I grew up, I added the romantic element to the stories. Like most writers, I'm a big reader and I read paranormal romances. Light or dark, happy ending or not, as long as there's a relationship and something from the supernatural world, I'll like the book. It only makes sense for me to write what I like to read, right?

Okay, your turn. But first, I need another drink. Where is our bartender?

I recently lost my canine best friend, Wiggles. He's the black and white shih-tzu (in his shaved down summer cut) who's enjoying the sun along with my daughter, me and Lady, the poodle. He used to sit on my feet whenever I was writing. I never knew losing him would be so hard, and I still miss him.

Maximomo or Maxie

This little fellow is Maximomo or Maxie. We sometimes call him Demon Dog since he always seems to get into trouble. But we love him. After all, who can look at that face and not forgive him?

While I grew up in Oklahoma, I spent a lot of time in small Texas towns where the people are friendly and the nights are hot. Those experiences gave me the perfect inspiration for my latest release, TOUCH ME. Even though I'm a Midwestern girl, I didn't stay in the Midwest all my life.
I've lived in Oklahoma, Texas, California, Ohio, Indiana, North Carolina, England, Texas (again) and Georgia. Along with the moves, I often packed a bag and off I went. When my family lived in England, we took trips to Spain, Belgium, The Netherlands and France. I loved sitting at an outside café in Paris, chatting away with my mother and daughter, as my hubby tried to sort out the currency exchange. Once he finally paid our bill, we dashed off to see the beautiful cathedrals.

Fenton Hobnail Cranberry Glassware

These are three of my favorite pieces from my small collection of Fenton glassware. Although I have a few pieces of other colors and styles, my favorite is the Cranberry Hobnail style, preferably glass made before 1970. Anytime I see an antique store, I pop in and search for a new discovery.
