Penelope Marzec stopped by RJ after hours

Hi Cat! Give me a smile and a wave! Before I have that glass of red wine I'd like to record you for posterity. I'm the main photographer in our family as well as the primary cook for most holidays and family events. You'll notice the gravy stain on my turtleneck. It came from a slight cooking mishap on Thanksgiving. At least this year there were no exploding or burnt casseroles in the oven. :^)

Here's a photo of me all cleaned up. I'm standing next to a painting I did, and that's Grace Graupe-Pillard.
She's a famous artist. I've been a member of Grace's painting workshop for a long, long time. I love doing paintings of the New Jersey shore as much as I like writing stories set along the shore. The book cover of Heaven's Blue was done using a corner of one of my paintings. My next release from Awe-Struck E-Books, The Keeper's Promise, has a lighthouse on the cover from another painting I did.

There's me again with a camera around my neck. Last summer my parents celebrated their Sixtieth Wedding Anniversary--and, of course, the party was at my house. I'm standing next to Daughter #3, next to her is Daughter #2. All of my daughters are in their twenties, but they haven't found Mr. Right yet. In fact, they've found a lot of Mr. Wrongs. As a result they've developed a rather cynical view of men. It's a bit disappointing for a romance writer to hear such disparaging remarks about men. Aren't there any gentlemen left in this world?

Of course, I have to confess that my daughters give me plenty of story ideas. After all, sometimes Mr. Wrong can be a very interesting guy.

Here's hubby and me. We're all set to go to a wedding. It's nice to know that true love still exists in the real world--even if my own daughters haven't found Mr. Right, there are some lucky women who do. Hubby and I have been married for thirty-one years. He's my Mr. Right. :^)

Here's hubby and me next to a cannon in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. I love to visit historical sites--and so does hubby! So far, I've only written one historical, but it's also a paranormal, The Beast of Blackbirch Manor. Still, I've been collecting tons of information about the past and I've got several ideas whirling around in the back of my mind.

Thanks for the wine, Cat!
