Jennah Sharpe stopped by RJ after hours

Thanks for having me in Cat. I'm feeling the sun from today. Hot, hot, hot! Living in Canada doesn't always mean snow and parkas (although that does seem to be the majority of the year). :

In trying to explain to my three-year-old son why he can't jump off the end of the dock without a lifejacket (he'd sink), and watching my six-year-old daughter dive for sparkly rocks, I seem to have attracted a bit of sun. Now, don't tell me off…I had sunscreen on. Just maybe didn't reapply as often as recommended.

Me parasailing in Cuba

(the island is my main inspiration in my book),

My two kiddies

I'm lovin' it though. I should have been born somewhere tropical. I'm not sure where the mistake was made but I ended up in Central Ontario. Not that I don't love it here too. I do. If I didn't, I'd move to the Caribbean on the next plane. It's crossed my mind in January. Humidity calls to me. So, my tropical self needs a piña colada every now and then. Ah, coconut, pineapple and a slow walk on the beach.

After a recent visit from a somewhat disgruntled high school friend, I realize how blessed I am to be on my lake, doing what I love to do, watch my children grown and write. Being slightly over thirty gives me the confidence to go out and pick up a hottie at a bar as well as the security in knowing I don't have to. I have my very own at home who just happens to be my soul mate and inspiration. (He makes beautiful babies too).

Me looking somewhat thoughtful at a highschool reunion

Anyway, when it comes down to it, the only time I'm wild and crazy is when I'm writing my books. As I'm the photographer in the family, I don't have many pictures of myself. Enjoy this peek into my world. Take care,

Jennah
